AAC

Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) can offer support for communication development and offers alternative communication means for children who have communication difficulties. AAC can come in various forms, such as printed visual boards to support early language development, PODD books and various apps that allow access to a robust communication system.

As part of the speech therapy process, our speech pathologists are able to support families through the process of device prescription and aim to work collaboratively with families to implement AAC into everyday lives. Our therapists are experienced in and committed to working towards increasing access to communication for our clients.
